A BIT OF BACKGROUND

A&K Danes was founded on the core principal of preserving the breed.

 

We started off as having a single dog and it quickly grew to two...then three... now currently, we are up to twelve. That's 48 paws! With every addition we knew something was different about us. All of these wonderful pets give us something to love and take care of but also remind us to be humble and kind. The look in their eyes from the start of the day to the end is filled with nothing but hope and love.

Ultimately, we have decided we want to share those same emotions and feelings with as many people as possible. 

Personally, I've spent many years in varying fields caring for animals while currently working in the veterinary field. It's not work for us, it's a passion. This drove us to start-up our own breeding program. We refuse to cut corners in the process from start to finish.

The day you take home one of our Great Danes, you will be able to tell what sets us apart from many others.

Our puppies and dams are raised and fed Hills Science Diet from start to finish with Purina Forti flora Probiotics added in for digestive/gut health!

Our pups also receive many veterinary visits, far more than most breeders. They are also introduced to cats, played with by children, and sleep with loud thunder/rain playing. We also vacuum daily right next to their pen.

Our Danes go home very well rounded and acclimated to a plethora of different situations they will most certainly encounter in their life.
